About Me

Restoring an Old Swimming Pool

Last year, I purchased a wonderful property which was located in an old town just south of Sydney. The property had been constructed in the 1920s and still looked absolutely wonderful. However, the pool had not been used for many years and it was in a very bad condition. The concrete was cracked and chipped, and weeds had grown up and pressed through the cracks in the pool surface. I called in a pool contractor who assessed the condition of the pool and then carried out renovation work. I am really pleased with the work and I learnt lots of cool things about looking after my pool.

Pool Service

Pool service involves a variety of tasks that are undertaken in or around a pool.

Design

A professional pool designer is able to design a pool that looks and matches your preferences. The design of your pool can make it stand out from many others because of its elegant and personalised look. The process involved in pool design begins with a consultation. An expert pool builder will come and speak with you to understand the kind of pool you want to be built. They can then analyse this information and suggest options that are available which best suit your needs. After you choose a design, a quote is sent to you for approval before the work begins.

Concrete Pool Design

Concrete pool designs are an option you can choose for your pool. These designs help in creating a pool that suits your preferences. There are different shapes such as rectangular or free-form pools which can be designed to ensure you have a superb-looking pool.

Fibreglass Pool Design

Fiberglass can also be used to create pools. You can be able to choose a free form or rectangular pool based on your needs. Pool service providers will ensure that any design you set your heart on can be achieved. Fiberglass pools are preferred because of their low maintenance and fast turnaround.

Pool Fencing

In Australia, it is required by law that a swimming pool be fenced in a proper manner before you can be able to fill it with water. Pool service companies may also offer pool fencing services to ensure that you are able to use your pool and that it abides to all the legal requirements. Swimming pool fences have minimum height requirements. This measurement should be taken from the ground surface.

Aluminium Pool Fencing

Aluminium pool fencing is a pool service that is very popular. This is because it is available in different powder coat colors. This means that you can choose a fence that complements your property. They also last longer in wet environments because aluminium is resistant to corrosion. Aluminium fences also do not require a lot of maintenance. If you wash it at least a few times in a year with detergent, it will look good as new.

Glass Pool Fencing

Glass pool fencing is preferred by clients who may want to have a pool made of fiberglass. The glass pool fence complements the fiberglass pool, making it look very elegant and stylish.
